Wilder Wolves Outreach

We are so proud of the Wilder Wolves achievements at the 2018 South Pacific Regional and during their first 12 months;

 

  • FRC Regional 2018 - Ranked 11/41 and made 6th Finals Captain Team.

 

  • FLL Hydrolicks (now Wilder Wolves FLL) won the Gracious Professionalism Award at the 2017 Perth Regional and an invite to Nationals where they performed brilliantly.

 

  • Mentored and supported Armadale SHS FRC Team 7113 Control Rising in their Rookie year.

 

  • Established Armadale Robotics Clubs (ARC) - mentoring 9 schools in Armadale and Port Hedland and Tjuntjuntjara. The ARC Mission is to inspire high-level STEM learning and career choices for all students. All of the ARC schools are low ICSEA Schools (Socio-Economic Index). ARC will engage over 400 children in Robotics programs in 2018

 

  • Engaged with the City of Armadale and our P&C to coordinate funding of 6 Robotics Clubs in COA schools winning $17000 from ARC Schools in an Annual Community Contributions grant.

  • Won 5th most votes and $1000 from BankWest Easy Grants

 

  • Traveled to Tjuntjuntjara RCS with Lego Robotics in Sep 2017 to share learning and culture with the Spinifex children.

 

  • Worked closely with School Pathways with an $8000 grant for FRC and FLL

 

  • Had interviews and visits with Federal Education Minister Simon Birmingham, Federal Science and Innovation Minister Michaela Cash and many other visiting dignitaries.

 

  • Hosted the 2017 ARC Launch event

 

  • Hosted the 2018 Power UP FRC Kick-Off sleepover on Jan 6th 2018 with 2 FRC Teams

 

  • Mentored Primary Extension Robotics in 2017 - again in Terms 2 and 3 this year.

 

  • Community Robotics Expos at Harrisdale Shops, at school events, the ArtBeat Festival 2017 and again on Sat 14th April.

 

  • Provided FIRST Robotics volunteers at the Perth FIRST Lego League Regional and the South Pacific FRC Regional.

 

  • FRC Captain Isabella Bullich-Western won Federal Member for Burt Matt Keogh’s Good Sports Award for her outstanding work inspiring Girls and Women in STEM and juggling study and other life commitments with exemplary Gracious Professionalism.

  • WA Robotics Club established in 2019 after Deep Space competition at the South Pacific Regional.
